P7 TRANSITION SUPPORT - SUMMER 2020
Ahead of the new school term in September we recommend that P7 pupils and parents access the links and materials below, to help support pupil transition to secondary school, which promote a variety of optional activities for consideration over the Summer break.
We appreciate that children have had a variety of experiences with online learning and resources during the months of the Covid-19 lockdown to support home learning and we would like to offer them the opportunity to build on that good work before they formally join us as pupils of St. Patrick’s College.
We will add more links to materials each week that will engage pupils in some work at their own pace should they wish to avail of it. While this work is not compulsory and not directly linked to our Yr. 8 curriculum we believe it will benefit anyone who engages with and attempts the work.
The work attempted does not have to be retained or submitted as it is not a formal requirement but should be embraced as a way of keeping our young people engaged and mentally agile.
We look forward to meeting all our Yr. 8 pupils next term and supporting them throughout their first year with us here at St. Patrick’s College.
