A modular approach consisting of short units of work is offered to all pupils at Key Stage 3 in Science. The course covers the new Northern Ireland revised curriculum and covers four themes of investigation, Life processes, Materials and their uses and Physical processes. The course is flexible and can be adapted to suit pupils of all abilities.
At Key Stage 4 all pupils will continue to study Science. As in Key Stage 3 a modular scheme is followed. Pupils may opt to study AQA core Science which consists of 6 modular exams and a centre based assessment or additional Science. Pupils undertaking additional science will complete the core science GCSE in year 11 and additional Science in Year 12.
