TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN
Throughout your time here at St Patrick’s College you will design and make many products using a variety of woods, metals and plastics in the Technology and Design workshop.
You will be trained to use several machines each year, be instructed to safely use a range of hand tools and be encouraged to make independent choices about the most appropriate materials to use depending on the challenges given to you.

Our aim is to assist in your development as an individual, then focus on your involvement in our community and finally guide you towards your potential contribution to our economy, environment and our wider world.
As a GCSE student you will have the choice of studying either:

CCEA - Engineering - designing and making with metals or plastics

Edexcel - Resistant Materials – designing and making furniture.
As an "A" Level student you will study:
- Edexcel - Product Design – designing and making an original product .
