In our modern world, Information and Communication Technology plays an integral role in the education of pupils. ICT refers to the storage, retrieval, manipulation & communication of information in electronic form.
In St Patrick’s all pupils in year receive one period per week of ICT and are introduced to the various applications necessary for other subject areas. Opportunities are provided for Internet Access by pupils for use across the subject range. The three ICT suites provide facilities for whole classes to use computers in the production of class work, project work and coursework for examinations and are available outside class time after school.
All students at Key Stage 3 are entered for the CCEA ICT accreditation Scheme. At Key Stage 4 students are entered for GCSE ICT and the school also offers an Applied A Level in ICT.
