Students from our Year 12 ‘CoPE’ group recently organised a ‘shoebox appeal’, involving pupils from years 8, 9 and 10.
The appeal, ‘Operation Christmas Child’ is the largest children’s Christmas project in the world, run by the international relief charity Samaritan’s Purse. The charity has been sending gift-filled shoeboxes to disadvantaged children around the world since 1990 and has brought joy to the lives of over 80 million children.
On behalf of Samaritan’s Purse we would like to say thank you to all who donated a shoebox over the last few weeks. We very much appreciate the effort and expense involved. Because of you, children living in difficult circumstances will experience the joy of receiving a gift at Christmas.
