In the event of over subscription the Board of Governors of St. Patrick's College has determined that the following criteria will be applied in the order set down in the event of over-subscription in any one of the criteria taken in order, priority the basis of proximity of home to school as "crow flies"
- Pupils who normally reside in the parishes of Dungiven and Banagher. Priority will be given to those who have brothers or sisters presently enrolled at the school.
- Pupils, not residents of the above Parishes, who have brothers or sisters presently enrolled at the school.
- Pupils with medical problems, which, in the opinion of the Board of Governors necessitates attendance at this, rather than another school.
- Pupils whose parent/guardian is a permanent employee of the school.
- Pupils from the following Parishes Claudy, Limavady and Errigal
- Pupils from other Parishes
The criteria will be applied by the Principal subject to the final agreement of the Board of Governors.
Admission Criteria Years 9-12
In the event of a child seeking entry to Year 9 - 12 of the above school the Board of Governors will apply the following criteria:
- A pupil will be considered for enrolment provided that the school will not exceed its enrolment number as determined by the Department of Education.
- A pupil may be accepted into the school provided that this would not prejudice the efficient use of the school's resources.
Admission Criteria Years 13-14
In the event of a child seeking entry to Year 13-14 of the above school the Board of Governors will apply the following criteria:
- A pupil will be considered for enrolment provided that the school will not exceed its enrolment number as determined by the Department of Education.
- A pupil may be accepted into the school provided that this would not prejudice the efficient use of the school's resources.
- A pupil requesting entry to St. Patrick's College Year 13-14, are required to have achieved a minimum of 4 GCSES at grades A*-C, including English Language. Pupils are required to attend for interview before admission.
