The students were required to compile a portfolio of evidence which highlighted workplace hazards in a variety of environments and make decisions on how to improve safety.
The British Safety Council state that “Young males between 16-24 have more accidents than any other group in the workplace” with this in mind the students of St. Patrick’s are well on their way to becoming part of a better informed and safer workforce. All of the students are keen to attempt the next level of the award this yaer which will involve a formal written exam as part of the qualification.
